Carnival is a wonderful holiday that is celebrated during the month of February. In my town the celebrations last four days and the whole country is on holiday. There are the parade floats for the town and all the children with their parents and kids as me joke and play throughout the evening. The fun is sure even if there is risk of come back home dirty of foam. The children will dress from princess, cartoon's heros and wearing of the moment and they enjoy throwing confetti in air and dancing in the streets. I really like the carnival and every year is a great celebration for all the people because we aren't at school!!!

It's a typical carnival's sweet.
Ingredients (dose 6) are: 350 grams of flour - 100 grams of sugar - 40 grams of butter - an egg - 3 egg yolks - half a sachet of baking powder - vanillin - an orange or a lemon - grappa or dry white wine - icing sugar - oil for frying and salt.
We must collect the flour into a bowl and mix with sugar, eggs, egg yolks, a pinch of salt, melted butter, baking powder, a sachet of vanilla, grated peel of oranges and lemons and a little glass of grappa. After we need to work the dough long until it become homogenos. Then spend the dough in the machine, pulling it into thin sheets that are then cut with the toothed wheel in so many tapes. After all this fried each "chiacchiera" with plenty and hot oil, when they will be puffed and golden drain shall be throughly coated with icing sugar and serve hot and crispy!!
